The Syrian Arab Republic is located northwest of the continent of Asia between longitudes 35 and 42 and latitudes 35-37 bordered to the north by Turkey, from the east by Iraq, from the southwest by Jordan and Palestine and from the west by Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea.

Area: The total area is about 185180 km 2 and the length of its border is 2413 km.
